No insightful questions ever get asked at UFC press conferences, so the purpose instead becomes about setting up the fighters to go at each other and deliver some memorable moments and great clips to generate buzz ahead of the fight.

It became apparent very early on that the New York stop on the UFC 200 press tour was going to be a total waste of time, as without Conor McGregor, and without the mystery surrounding the will he/won't he situation we found ourselves in last week, there just isn't much of a point, especially this far in advance.

Daniel Cormier's second crack at Jon Jones will be fascinating to watch, but as for the pre-fight hype... Not so much.

Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo may as well have not been there either... After being asked what is different this time around, Edgar answered:

I've got the momentum. Now I'm the one on a winning streak this time.

Great stuff there.

Perhaps the only interesting thing to come from the press conference was, surprise surprise, Dana's response to a question about Conor:

But the rules were made, and they were broken, so now we're going to have to put up with a whole lot of monotony before the actual event, which is still set to be a great night of fighting.
