Eddie Alvarez Claims McGregor 'Getting Desperate' In First UFC 205 Embedded

The first episode of the UFC's outstanding 'Embedded' series has dropped ahead of UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden.

Typically when Conor McGregor is involved the episodes feature heavily on the Irishman for obvious reasons, leading the series to be dubbed 'McBedded' by many MMA fans, but in episode one we saw little of Conor as his opponent Eddie Alvarez was the first fighter featured.

Alvarez has claimed that McGregor's actions on last week's conference call show that the UFC featherweight champ is getting desperate, and that by mentioning his kids it was a sign of desperation from someone who is "on full tilt" ahead of the main event this Saturday.

A supremely confident Alvarez believes McGregor's performance on the conference call is a good thing for him, so it turns out it's not just the fans and media who look at these "mind games" as a sign of what is going on.

We can look forward to a new episode every day right up until the fight, and if Conor McGregor didn't feature much in the first episode, don't expect that to be a recurring theme for the series.

Things are about to get very interesting.
