James Haskell To Make Pro MMA Debut In May
By PJ Browne Updated

James Haskell will make his pro MMA debut on May 16h.

It was announced by Bellator on Thursday that the former England rugby player will fight on a London card at the SSE Arena.

The event will be headlined by a bout between the John Kavanagh-trained James Gallagher and Callum Ellenor.

Haskell retired from rugby in 2019 following a 17-year career which saw him play for Wasps, Stade Francais, Ricoh Black Rams, Highlanders, Northampton and England. He also toured New Zealand with the Lions in 2017 as an injury replacement. Haskell, who turns 35 in April, won 77 caps for his country.

It was announced last year that he will fight in the heavyweight division and train at the London Shootfighters gym.
