We couldn't be happier to see the UFC coming back to Dublin this October, and although we're not going to see The Notorious Conor McGregor on the fight-card, we should still be set for another amazing UFC Fight Night at Dublin's 3 Arena on October 24.
We already knew that Cathal Pendred will be featuring, and the seriously exciting Joseph Duffy will be headlining against none other than McGregor's old mate Dustin Poirier, but now another familiar name has been added to the card as it was today revealed that Norman Parke will take on Reza Madadi.
Antrim's Norman Parke earned his last UFC victory in Dublin on the main card of Conor McGregor vs Diego Brandao, but he has suffered back to back losses since then and will be looking to bounce back with a win at Fight Night 77 in October.
His opponent is submission artist Reza 'Mad Dog' Madadi who is coming off a long layoff of over two years with his last fight being a victory over Michael Johnson in April 2013, 14 of those months were spent in prison for his alleged role in a burglary, which isn't something you say about a lot of pro athetes. Mad Dog will be looking to add to his eight submission victories in his pro career, which make up the vast majority of his wins on his 13-3 record.
We're still expecting to see Gunnar Nelson added to the card at some point, but for how we're happy to see that Stormin' Norman Parke will be fighting in Dublin again.
