Roy Nelson beat Antônio 'Bigfoot' Silva at UFC Fight Night Brasilia on Saturday night.

The fight was called just over four minutes into the second round. Nelson thought the fight should have been ended just a little bit earlier though.

The heavyweight known as 'Big Country' thought a big right which knocked Silva to the canvas should have been enough for referee John McCarthy to call a halt to the fight. That was not the case. McCarthy required several more punches from Nelson before he stopped it.

In frustration at McCarthy's lack of urgency, Nelson walked up behind McCarthy after the fight had been stopped and kicked the referee.

In the post-fight press conferece, Nelson said there had already been some disagreements between him and McCarthy before the fight. The two do not see eye-to-eye on some MMA-related matters.

Nelson also explained why he kicked out at McCarthy in frustration. It was because he knows Bigfoot and his family and felt the Brazilian took unnecessary damage at the finish.

When I hit bigfoot, I knew I'd already knocked him out my first punch. I got him one more time. In my head it was like so slow-mo, I'm having a conversation with John [McCarthy] going 'Hey man, how was the weather over there?' That's what it felt like.

I'm friends with Bigfoot and he has a family. I don't need to keep on punching him in his face. It's not one of those where I've hit him so hard he's fell flat on his face and I would have walked off like Mark Hunt. He fell on his back.

He [the referee] was over here to my side and I know I had the conversation with him and I'm like 'He's out' he says 'No he's not, keep on moving'.

For me I feel like I'm giving Bigfoot extra damage when he doesn't actually need to get hit that much.
