Needless to say we're absolutely buzzing for Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo on July 11, but this coming weekend is set to offer up a cracker when Frankie Edgar takes on Uriah Faber in the Philippines.
Frankie Edgar is someone who has been beaten by Jose Aldo before, and he issued a respectful warning to Conor McGregor ahead of the Dubliner's upcoming title fight:
Conor has never met anyone as strong as Aldo. I'm going to go with the champ in this one. But good look to McGregor. He got the fight. He's beaten people in devastating fashion and he's got this fight and that's all that matters. Whether he deserves it or not, that's in the past. He has it on July 11. It's what he does with it that counts. I want the belt. Aldo has beaten me before and I'd like to be the one to take the belt from him.
While Conor has never met anyone like Aldo, Conor would argue that Aldo has never met anyone with his striking power at featherweight, and the fighting style of The Notorious Irishman will also be new to the Brazilian.
As it gets closer it becomes more and more difficult to call, but it's sure to be a spectacular battle.
