Stipe Miocic is undeinably next in line for a heavyweight title shot after dispatching of Andrei Arlovski in just 53 seconds.
On a night when Dustin Poirier overcame the challenge of Donegal's Joseph Duffy in a cracking hard-fought contest, Miocic left Irish MMA fans really dreaming of just how awesome UFC Fight Night 76 in the 3 Arena could have been if the originally planned fights remained on the card.
Instead of going head to head with Ben Rothwell in Dublin, Miocic was pitted against Arlovski and having passed that test so convincingly, he will surely face the winner of Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez on February 6th.
Miocic was borderline aggressive in his plea to Dana White for a title shot in the immediate aftermath of the fight, and it's going to be hard to ignore him after that.
