Yoel 'Soldier of God' Romero was handed his first UFC loss on Saturday night as Robert Whittaker claimed the UFC interim middleweight title and booked a fight with Michael Bisping to unify the belt.

The fact that Romero lost in what was his first chance at grasping UFC gold, albeit an interim title, would have hurt, but the real prize for the Cuban was a guaranteed shot at Bisping, as the two have made no secret of their disdain for each other in recent times.

Bisping has been playing the role of panto villain since claiming the title, and moments after the official declared Whittaker the victor at UFC 213, he wasted no time in rubbing salt into Romero's wounds as he was spotted ripping up a little Cuban flag and tossing it in his rival's direction.

Romero was pissed, and decided to hit back at Bisping by disrespecting his flag, which he decided to burn in a surreal video uploaded to his Instagram today.

The big cigar and bottle of Havana Club taking pride of place in shot.

Romero faces a difficult situation regarding his next move, as he will likely need to fight again while waiting for a unified champ to be crowned, and Luke Rockhold - who has not been seen in the Octagon since June 2016 - is the only top ranked middleweight he has not fought recently.

One thing that is certain is that Romero wants to get his hands on Bisping.
