Cheltenham Photographer Taken To Hospital After Incident In The 4.00

There was a nasty incident in the 4.00 cross county race at Cheltenham.

As the runners took the final fence, Toutancarmont forced Quantitiveeasing into the rail, putting them both out of the race.

Photographer Patrick McCann of the Racing Post was standing in close proximity to the fence and had to dive out of the way. According to Racing UK, he was taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle but it certainly could have been much worse had he not managed to evade the horses.
