Riding Giants

Riding Giants is probably my favourite sports documentary of all time.

It's about the history of surfing and more specifically, big wave surfing. The film tracks the sport from its origins in Hawaii to present day competitions and tow-in surfing.

It is absolutely spectacular.

Four Days in October

The Red Sox took on the New York Yankees in the 2004 American League Championship Series with the Boston franchise going three games down to their rivals. Despite this they would still go on to defeat the curse of the Bambino that year and win the World Series.

Four Days in October focuses on the series against the Yankees and how the Red Sox became the first team to ever come back from three games down to win a series.

Featuring appearances by one of the creators of the 30 for 30 series, Bill Simmons and also a very bloody sock.

Without a doubt, one of the best in ESPN's original run of the 30 for 30s.

Beyond the Mat is about the realities of being a professional wrestler and how much training is put into perfecting moves used in their profession.

It mainly follows Mick Foley (aka Mankind), Terry Funk and Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, all of whom are at different points in their careers along with some aspiring wrestlers.
