The headline is not wrong. NASCAR driver Kurt Busch is currently contesting a no-contact order issued by his former girlfriend Patricia Driscoll.

In court, he chose to go on the attack against Driscoll and has claimed that she is a trained assassin who has been dispatched on many covert missions around the world.

Pre-empting many of the accusations that have come his way, Busch says, 'everybody on the outside can tell me I’m crazy, but I lived on the inside and saw it first-hand.'

Busch contends that Driscoll has repeatedly spoken of her exploits as a 'trained international assassin'. Driscoll also described herself to her boyfriend as a mercenary who kills people for a living, shoving pictures of bloodied bodies riddled with gunshot wounds under his nose.

Busch recounted one incident where the couple were in El Paso in Texas. Driscoll left the house in camouflage gear and returned later on wearing a trench coat over an evening gown covered with blood.

Furthermore, the couple's former personal assistant claims Driscoll told him she takes 'down foreign governments. I own Washington.'

Driscoll's shameless bravado about her role as an assassin in the stories recounted by her former boyfriend has not crossed over into her public statements.

She describes the claims as 'ludicrous' and they are in fact taken from a screenplay she is currently writing and which she made they mistake of asking her NASCAR driver boyfriend to proofread.

These statements made about being a trained assassin, hired killer, are ludicrous and without basis and are an attempt to destroy my credibility. Not even Rusty Hardin (Busch's brilliantly named attorney) believes this.

Driscoll claims that Busch assaulted her by slamming her into a wall in their motorhome.

The pair's friend, Andrew Sniffen, a Christian minister who preaches as NASCAR races (it is a Republican sport) said Driscoll told him she would 'destroy him (Busch)'

This video would indicate he may be on to something.
