So you might remember that Peter Collins of RTE Sport issued a come-and-follow-me message on Twitter a few weeks ago via Richie Sadlier. Time has passed. Collins entered something called the 'Results Centre' for the Slovakia match. Collins traveled to Moscow and witnessed the heroics of Richard Dunne firsthand. What effect has all of this had on his twitter following?

He stands at 133 followers. Not an abject showing for someone who's been on Twitter for a month, but I suspect Collins will be disappointed with that total. John Kenny boasts nearly 600 more Twitter followers. Eamonn Donohoe, apparently of Monday Night Soccer, has 570 followers. We're beginning to wonder if Collins might not be terribly disillusioned with the Twitter machine. After getting his prediction for the Slovakia match very wrong, Collins offered no Twitter commentary from Moscow and has not tweeted since September 2. We fear he may have packed the whole thing in.
