It's estimated that this year's viewing audience for Super Bowl XLVIII should exceed the record of 11.3 million of Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 . That leaves American broadcasting television networks happier than pigs in shite with advertising space at a premium and slots going at around $3.5m for 30 seconds.
A big increase since the $500,000 advertiser's paid in the 80s.
