Twitter have revealed that Brian O'Driscoll was the second most tweeted about person in Ireland. BOD lost out to Justin Bieber but can take heart in knowing he was the most talked about Irish person on twitter in 2013 and not a whiny Canadian man-child.

#GAA was the top trending sports term of 2013, followed by #RAW, showing that there is still a love of the squared-circle in Ireland, with #WWE the sixth most popular sport term.
Elsewhere Irish athletes Rob Heffernan, Dave Martin and John Joe Nevin all made the top ten sports people ahead of Noel King, whose interview with Tony O'Donoghue was big news in October, while Joe Brolly squeezed in to the top ten most tweeted about Irish people thanks to his rant against Tyrone.
