California Chrome Fails To Win US Triple Crown. Owner Is Bitter

Last night in  US horse racing, California Chrome attempted to become the first horse since 1978 to win all three legs of the fabled Triple Crown. Having easily won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes within the 5 weeks, the Belmont Stake went off with everybody looking to see what would happen California Chrome.

As you can see here, he ended up in 4th place as Tonalist provided the upset. One of the owners of California Chrome wasn't happy that his pride & joy was beaten by a horse that hadn't entered the other two races.





Man, does he sound bitter...
