The Irish emergence on the UFC scene continued o Saturday evening as Cathal Pendred took home a split decision victory over Gasan Umalatov at UFC Fight Night in Stockholm.

Pendred will probably admit that he was not at his best as both he and Umalatov contributed to a rather cagey bout. Pendred had the better of the first round with a strong leg kick being the highlight.
However, his Russian opponent had the better of the second round with a stinging right putting Pendred to the canvas. It petered out in the third but Pendred did just enough to take home his second consecutive win in the UFC with a split decision.
