So all of those people calling out Bears QB Jay Cutler for being a wimp after the NFC Championship gone on Sunday and burned out his jersey? It turns out he had a media collateral ligament tear in his left knee.
Vindication, right? Actually no. QB's Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Mark Sanchez and Matt Ryan have all played with MCL tears. All of this slagging of Cutler has created the strange situation where most of the league is criticising one man's wimpiness on the same day when the violence of the sport was again made evident in a long story in the New Yorker.
