Look, it's a slow news day for sport, and we feel a bit nitpicky but does anyone else find it strange that the Sun described Katie Taylor as 'Ireland's great white hope' in their interview with her dad Pete today. The Great White Hope, if you didn't know, is a play that deals with the spectre of race in boxing in America. Does race have anything to do with Taylor's quest for gold at the Olyompics?

I know the Sun is just trying to say that Katie's Ireland's best chance of a gold medal, but do words mean nothing anymore?
