There were divided loyalties in this odd household for this game. The annual Iron Bowl between Auburn and Alabama was drawing to a dramatic close and the excitable Alabama supporters were anxiously waiting to celebrate their victory which was only seconds away. However, in scenes eerily reminiscent of the Aviva eight days ago, they relinquished possession at the death (presumably an interception) and Aurora scampered the length of the pitch to win. Fortunately, the Auburn supporter who sat behind the crestfallen Alabama faithful understood their plight, and he gracefully took the victory in his stride.
