As the vast majority of the country is finding out at the moment, falling on ice is very common. So one would imagine that falling in ice hockey would be an occupational hazard.

What you wouldn't expect though, is someone falling as they leave the ice. Leaving the ice is meant to be the safest part of a sport that excels in mixing skill with serious physicality that can be exciting to marvel at.

This junior hockey player, Mitchell Skiba, learned quickly the importance of hockey stick placement as he leaves the ice. The player had just been ejected from the game before his big moment.

Now that's a clothesline JR would be shocked about. He releases his embarrassment very quickly afterwards, and decides to get the hell out of there in case anyone saw. Unforunately leaving his stick still out on the ice:
