Jaromir Jagr's Playoff Beard Is Ridiculous

Game one of the Stanley Cup finals gets underway tonight in Chicago as the Blackhawks take on the Boston Bruins. At this stage, the players have grown some pretty impressive play off beards. That is, with the exception of Czech master Jaromir Jagr.

Jaromir Jagr has just gone 41 and belongs in that category of athletes alongside Jari Litmanen and Javier Zanetti, who appear on the field of battle to be only half their age. Off the ice though, Jagr is showing all the signs of a midlife crisis. Rogers' Sports Chris Johnston today tweeted that Jagr had told the pre-game press conference that he dyed his play-off beard (which is less a beard, more nineteenth-century Wild West bartender's muttonchops) and stated his belief that the mullet was on its way back.


Dying your beard to look tough? That's completely illogical. Although Jagr has history with dodgy hair...
