Malachy Clerkin Replaces Tom Humphries As Monday's Irish Times Sports Columnist

Malachy Clerkin Replaces Tom Humphries As Monday's Irish Times Sports Columnist
By Donny Mahoney Updated

Malachy Clerkin, ex-Sunday Tribune, wrote his first 'Tipping Point' column in the Monday Sport in today's Irish Times. It was a nice, reflective piece on the 'broad church' of sports fandom. Of course, the 'ghost' of Humphries' Locker Room column hangs over the column space. I suppose this is the most concrete sign that Malachy Logan et al on Tara Street are trying to move on. We wish Clerkin the best, but we do mourn 'Locker Room'

EDIT- (23/5) I jumped the gun on this. Clerkin was just filling in for Brian O'Connor. Wishful thinking on our part. Malachy Logan should consider the switch.
