UPDATE 7/2/15: On the day he announced his retirement, we've dusted this post off to have a look where it all began for AP McCoy.

Having won his 4,000th race earlier today, here's a photo of Tony McCoy with his dad taken on the day he rode his first race on Nordic Touch on 1 September, 1990 at Phoenix Park aged 16.
