It's not quite Niall Carew, but a Meath punter has won a healthy sum on an accumulator this afternoon.

In case you were inclined to feel too much pity for Carew after the harrowing events of last Sunday, he won €170,000 on an accumulator with Boylesports at the end of last year.

Today's fortunate punter wishes to remain anonymous (so, we can't confirm for definite it isn't Carew again, but we'll presume it isn't. He's not from Meath) but he placed €30 bet on five horses at odds of 1258/1.

Naturally, it came through and he won €37,000.

The horses he picked were Manhattan Skyline (Wolverhampton, 2.00), Handbell (Wolverhampton, 2.30), Club and Trumps (Worcester, 2.10), Tawwaaq (Sandown, 2.20) and Who Dare Wins (2.55).

As usual, the bookies are keen to draw attention onto their misfortune. Spokesman Liam Glynn congratulated the anonymous punter.

We would like to congratulate the county Meath punter on their savvy selections as they turned their €30 into a whopping €37,772.11.

July continues to see BoyleSports getting bashed by the punter with this big win following on from a Monaghan customer who turned their Roscommon Lucky 15 into a whopping €32.8K earlier in the month.
