The ultra competitive world of college American football recruiting took a strange turn when a desperate coach made an ambitious offer to the number 1 high school prospect in the country.

Virginia defensive end Da’Shawn Hand was asked what the craziest thing that has happened to him since his was named the nation’s No.1 recruit.

‘Well, I ain’t gonna say any names, but one coach told me that since I’m the No.1 player, I’m gonna get to meet Michael Jackson.

‘I said, “Isn’t he already dead?”. And the coach goes, “Well, all right, you can meet Tito [Jackson]”.

‘I was like, all right. Ok, I’m done. It’s crazy, but it is what it is.’
