Do you ever wonder what happened to Kevin McBride, the Clones Colossus, who beat improbably beat Mike Tyson back in 2005? It was the last fight of Tyson's career, but what became of McBride afterwards? Well a new short documentary by Joshua Weinstein titled 'I Beat Mike Tyson' tracks the thwarted comeback of McBride in 2011. The former Olympian had resettled in a Boston suburb, and the film documents the build-up to his fight against Polish fighter Tomasz Adamek in Newark in April 2011 after a year away from boxing, and his knockout at the hands of another Polish fighter a few months later. McBride speaks softly and is subtitled through most of this documentary. This is worth watching if only for the incredible cameo of McBride's son, Caomhin.

It is a pretty excellent piece of film-making and a portrait of the harsh reality of boxing.
