SWEET CHIN MUSINGS: WWE Money In The Bank In Tweets

Last night, Money in the Bank continued to enhance its reputation as one of the most stellar PPVs on the WWE calendar. To illustrate how unpredictable the night was, on the WWE Parties Ireland Facebook Prediction Contest for the show only one person guessed the winners of both ladder matches. It was a night that delivered from the YouTube pre-show to the main event and both entertained and successfully moved around the chess pieces of the WWE landscape to set up an intriguing year ahead.

It was a night that started with The Shield and The Usos having perhaps the best YouTube pre-show match since the idea was conceived (with The Shield retaining their belts); Damien Sandow pip his former tag-team partner, Cody Rhodes, to the World Championship Money in the Bank Briefcase; the ties between AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler begin to sever as Alberto Del Rio retained his World Title; John Cena tap out Mark Henry to presumably end their feud; then an All-Star MITB main event that saw Paul Heyman finally turn on CM Punk, Ireland’s own Sheamus take an extraordinary amount of punishment and Randy Orton, of all people, defying the odds to hold the briefcase as the show closed.

Here’s the story of the night, as told by Twitter:

Some people were taken aback by The Uso’s bright ring attire…

Fans still don’t appreciate the adverts during the YouTube pre-show…

Quote of the night for The King…

He’s got a point…

Former ECW/WWE announcer, Joey Styles, wasn’t a fan of the new Raw General Manager’s segment mocking Vickie Guerrero…

Suffice to say the Miz/Curis Axel match didn’t go down well with the live crowd…

Yeah, they never did explain why she was at ringside…

People were quick to point out the flaws in the trailer for the Total Divas show on E!...

Nice back-handed compliment by JR. I don’t think he’s a fan of Ryback somehow…

Iron Shiek was similarly unimpressed…

And if you ain’t down with that, we got two words for ya: Dolph Ziggler…

Am I right?

That’s one way of looking at it…

People may think less of this girl, but she’s no different from the people who shout abuse at him through the screen…

A slight overreaction to John Cena wining, but still…

Welcome back R-V-D…

The redder it gets, the stronger he gets…

It’s pretty much what everyone in Philadelphia came to see, though…

We all should’ve seen it coming when Heyman turned on CM Punk…

Randy Orton shocks the world and wins the All-Star MITB match. The smart arse tweets about his suspensions and divorce began within seconds…

Let’s leave it to Shiek to have the final word though…
