I say this having never been a big fan of Ice Hockey. The HBO 24/7 feature on the lead up to the winter classic between the Washington Capitals and the Pittsburgh Penguins is a great introduction to the sport, its world class stars and what the game means to the millions of people who are so fanatical about it from Moscow to Vancouver.
Watch this first episode, it's sports documentary making at its very best.
