The Giro is coming to Belfast and Dublin in 2014. For many, the sight of an international cycling race in Ireland will recall the so-called 1998 Tour de Doping, when the Tour started in Dublin as the Festina affair broke in on the continent. That Tour was a high point of doping in sport, but at least this ITV footage of the Tour passing through Wicklow and Dublin ('the biggest sporting event in the city's history') are pretty cool.
