UPDATE: Just before half-time, Maccabi Tel Aviv re-take the lead against Dundalk with Micha scoring with shot which squirts through Gary Rogers' hands..

After a desperate start to the evening, Daryl Horgan/unfortunate Maccabi defender  has dragged Dundalk right back into the reckoning with an equaliser in Tel Aviv. Maccabi had gone 1-0 up from a penalty converted by Ben Haim.

This combined with the bleak news that AZ Alkmaar had taken a 1-0 lead against Zenit, had caused hearts to drop.

But Dundalk replied with a vital goal six minutes later. Some neat passing ended with the ball being spread out to Martin McEleney. He slid a beautiful ball across. Horgan celebrated, and was initially credited with the goal. But it looks like it will be chalked down as an OG.

Shades of Dave Barry in Galatasaray in 1993. Hopefully, it will be a happier result.
