What Is Tom Brady Snorting?

Around the .32 second mark above, you see the Patriots quarterback sniffing something out of a Gatorade cup. It's obviously quite pungent, as Brady's flinching indicates. So what's he at? Turns out Brady is snorting ammonia, as he admitted yesterday. It's a somewhat common, completely legal practice in the NFL and provides players with an edge.

Players say in the majority of instances they are used as a performance enhancer, providing a powerful punch to propel them through rough practices and brutal games. Once the rush wears off, players open a new cartridge and take another whiff.
