Fresh from having threatening Congress with a bit of timber, President Obama took a break from the Eisenhower putting green to congratulate the Colorado rapids on winning the 2010 MLS cup. The President described them as the best team in American soccer and proved he had obviously read Inverting the pyramid by describing the beautiful game as thus ““I have watched my share of games over the years. And I’m used to seeing everybody gather around the ball, and then it kind of pops out somewhere, and everybody runs over to the ball,”

He also praised the different mix of nationalities calling them a mini United-Nations “Members of the team hail from Argentina, England, France, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Scotland, and Senegal” Rapids striker Caleb Folan played his part during this season, scoring a brace against D.C United and seeing red against the Galaxy. It is not yet known if Trap was watching.
