Professional wrestling has long given us some of the smoothest talkers in entertainment. Names like The Rock, Ric Flair and Mick Foley could have captivated audiences around the with their engaging and inspiring promos

Unfortunately, the performers in the videos below fell far below the accepted standard resulting in some painfully awkward viewing

During his brief stint with WWE as commentator and announcer Mike Adamle gained infamy among fans for his complete inability to pronounce.....anything. The man sprayed verbal diarrhoea at every possible opportunity and unsurprisingly his short flirtation with professional wrestling did not last long. This video documents some of the best "Adamle's"

Sid Justice, as he was known in WWE, was one of the mid nineties top talents. At over 6 feet 7 inches his physical presence was unmatched however his promo skills often came up short. In this clip, Sid fails to deliver his lines effectively and asks for a retake, only to be told by Jim Ross that the camera's are live.

It's Sid Justice again. After moving to WCW in 1999 Sid found himself in the main event scene at the Atlanta based company. During this aggressive promo on Nitro, Sid mistakenly informs Kevin Nash that he "has half the brain that you do" drawing the immediate guffaw of Scott Hall. It's moments like this where you begin to see why WWE has become so obsessed with scripting their promos in recent years.

This clip, 'Lex Luger vs NWA Cyber Space T-Shirt', gives you exactly what it says on the tin. Late in Lex Luger's career, after hugely successful stints with NWA, WWE & WCW, The Narcissist found himself touring the independent circuits. Perhaps Luger should have retired after WCW's closure in 2001 however then we would never have been given lines as memorable as "I'm on the biggest legends and stars in this!"

In 1993 in WCW wrestling fans around the world were treated to the greatest promo botch in history. Fred Ottman, under the gimmick of 'The Shockmaster' was due to make his much anticipated debut during Ric Flair's interview segment 'Flair for Gold' by bursting through a sheetrock wall, declaring himself the mystery partner of Sting, Dustin Rhodes and Davey Boy Smith for Fall Brawl. Fate intervened for Ottman as he stumbled on entry to the stage, crashing to the floor and losing his glitter covered Star Trooper helmet leaving audiences in stunned silence
