As NFL television ratings continue to fall, the League needs all the stars in can get. Sadly the injuries keep on piling up.

Last week JJ Watt (Houston Texans) and Odell Beckham Jr (New York Giants) both suffered season-ending injuries. On Sunday evening, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers may have suffered the same fate.

Against their local rivals the Minnesota Vikings, Rodgers broke his right collarbone after landing awkwardly from an Anthony Barr tackle.

It's the second time Rodgers has broken a collarbone in his career. During the 2013 season he broke his left collarbone and missed seven weeks of the season.

Rodgers impressed in the opening weeks of the season for Green Bay as the team started with a 4-1 record. The former NFL MVP could now miss the remainder of the season, after the Packers refused to confirm the severity of the injury.

Whatever happens to Rodgers, it's a headache the NFL could do without. Alongside Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers is one of the most recognisable faces in the League.
