Two Wimbledon titles have evidently been enough for Andy Murray to largely lose the old "British when he wins, Scottish when he loses" gag, and the supporting proof came in the British Twitter Reaction (TM) to his premature exit from Wimbledon.

Murray was beaten in five sets to 24th seed Sam Querrey, losing 3-6, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-1. Querrey has previous against defending champions...

Murray came into these championships struggling with a hip injury, and ultimately it has taken his toll, and means that the defending champions misses out on the last four.

In terms of the reaction, it was cleaved into those who heralded his bravery...
