One driving question that surrounded David Haye v Tony Bellew II was how exactly they had managed to sell a squeal on this fight.

As the Liverpudlian Bellew took on his first heavyweight bout in the first of these fights eighteen months ago, his impressive win was somewhat blemished by an injury sustained by Haye.

With a combined 72 years between them, this was a fight very much sold on the apparent shared animosity Haye and Bellew had for each other.

As the bout got underway, it didn't appear likely that either man would be all that keen on going the projected twelve rounds.

In a sluggish, slow, affair peppered with plenty of bravado and posturing, it was Bellew who laid the first mark on the fight. In the closing seconds of the third round he dropped Haye twice and would proceed to take over from there.

Walking Haye down across the ring, it was Bellew who took control as Haye looked increasingly troubled.

By the 5th round it was all over; Bellew knocking Haye to the ground once again, before the referee had to step in and stop what will perhaps be Haye's final bout.
