In the aftermath of Floyd Mayweather's 10th round TKO victory over Conor McGregor, footage emerged of a heated argument between Brendan Schaub and Nate Diaz.

The context of the clip was unknown as it cut off abruptly because the cameraman was filming for Snapchat, but it appeared that Diaz was arguing that Mayweather gifted the early rounds to McGregor, while Schaub strongly disagreed.

It wasn't a friendly confrontation, and now Brendan Schaub has explained exactly what happened on Joe Rogan's podcast after receiving countless requests for more details on social media.

Schaub approached Diaz to say 'Hi' and talk up a potential trilogy fight with Conor McGregor, when Nate started telling him how stupid he looked after the result of the fight, before continuing to mock Schaub's MMA career.

I see him [Diaz] and I think 'Oh, same fraternity', UFC guys. I just figured we're brothers in arms so I'm like 'Whats up, man?'.

I was going towards him because he looked busy, and whether he wanted my help or not I figured I'd I know a few things about marketing, the next fight for him is Conor. I'm assuming he's there to sell that fight. That should be the fight, Conor vs Nate Diaz III - The Trilogy.

So I was gonna go to him because I saw some interviews of him kind of hating on Conor, and I would have spun it the other way, he should have celebrated Conor and what he did winning rounds against the best of all time, then say let's do this trilogy, I'm gonna end him faster than Floyd did, that should be the sell.

I was gonna talk to him about this. So I see him out the corner of my eye, and they're [Showtime producers] like 'Come on Brendan we gotta go' so I say 'Let me just say what's up to this guy'. So I'm like 'Yo Nate, bro, how about that fight? You're next, biggest fight in UFC history brother. And he starts laughing.

He's like 'Oh hell no. How fucking stupid do you look now? Talkin' all this shit.'

And I'm like 'Woah, woah.. What are you doing right now?'

It's clear that Schaub was expecting a friendly chat, while Diaz had no such desire and wanted to mock Schaub for being the face of the Conor McGregor debate over the past few months.

It's classic Nate Diaz, but if Stockton's finest really isn't interested in a third fight McGregor, then what is he waiting for? He hasn't fought since the rematch, and Dana White claims he turned down fights, but it's impossible to tell as he gives so few fucks.
