Almost two years after his last fight in the UFC, Conor McGregor will return to the Octagon for a blockbuster bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on October 6 in Las Vegas.
The event was announced today at an MMA press conference by Dana White and it will take place at the T-Mobile arena.

McGregor will look to reclaim the 155-pound championship that he was forced to relinquish earlier this year due to inactivity. Prior to Nurmagomedov's successful win at UFC 223, McGregor stormed the backstage arena and threw a dolly at a bus. Two fighters suffered injuries as a result and he ultimately accepted a plea deal with Brooklyn's District Attorney for his involvement in the incident.
He does, however, look happy to be back.
