Padraig Harrington Forced To Pull Out Of Tournament Through Absurdly Bad Fortune

Padraig Harrington has had a difficult year, injury-wise, and underwent surgery to alleviate the pain of a trapped nerve in his neck back in March. The aim was to recover in time to try and qualify for the US Open, ahead of playing at the Open and Irish Open.

He has, unfortunately, missed out on qualification for the US Open, and further bad luck has struck the Irishman today - quite literally.

He has been forced to pull out of this weekend's FedEx St. Jude Classic with an injury sustained in absurdly misfortunate fashion.

Harrington revealed the details of his injury on twitter:

Thankfully, it's not serious, but that level of bad luck for Padraig Harrington is up there with Dustin Johnson missing the Masters by falling down the stairs.
