This guy is taking the league by storm at the moment. Patrick Mahomes has been absolutely tearing it up in the opening weeks of the NFL season, acting as the catalyst for a prolific Kansas City Chiefs offence.
The second year quarterback has already broke the record for the most touchdown passes in the opening two games of the season, throwing 10 to begin his first season as a starter. That included an absolutely stunning six touchdown effort against the Steelers last week.
This does not seem to be a flash in the pan, and Patrick Mahomes looks like the real deal. He has continued his unbelievable form this week.

The way he evades the defender is incredible, keeping his eyes down field to throw it on the run to his receiver in the end zone.
With the Chiefs defence continuing to leak points, they need Mahomes to keep producing on the offensive side of the ball, and he does not seemed burdened by it. NFL Twitter was in awe.

With many of the top quarterbacks in the game, such as Tom Brady and Drew Brees, reaching the tail end of their careers, the door is open for Mahomes to step up lay claim to the best in the game tag.
Along with the likes of Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson, he is part of the new generation of players emerging at the moment. If he can continue to make plays like this, the future of the league is in safe hands.
