When it comes to walkout songs there are a lot of obvious choices; Eye Of The Tiger springs to mind, Iron Man by Black Sabbath, I'm Shipping Up To Boston by the Dropkick Murphys.

But stumbling on a Reddit Ireland thread of walk out music suggestions, I found one comment particularly amusing. The user proffered the theme to Tonight With Vincent Browne as his/her walkout song, and that got me to thinking if there are other TV themes that might make a good backing track for a fighter's walkout.

So in lieu of that here are 11 TV themes that would make deadly walkout songs.

1. Holby City

Ominous, also there's a none too subtle hint that your opponent will be heading to A & E after the fight.

2. The Late Late Show

A more light hearted entry, but the drums at the start should get the blood pumping and the 'one for everyone in the audience' takes on a whole new meaning in this setting.

3. Tonight with Vincent Browne

Genius. Only problem is the intro is perhaps to short to use as your walkout music, could loop it though.

4. Big Brother

A more danceable entry here, though it still has a portentous feel to it.

5. The Angelus

This would definitely put the fear of God in your opponent.

6. RTE Nuacht

Nothing like some heavy 80s synth to build some atmosphere as you make your way to the ring.

7. Mastermind

This would be a badass track to come out to, shades of 2001: A Space Odyssey's opening.

8. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Those menacing backing vocals, the relentless beat. Also it is quite fitting as you stand to win a lot more money should you defeat your opponent.

9. Game Of Thrones

Game Of Thrones theme usually precedes scenes of violence bloodshed and gore, so what better piece of music to play before two fighters go head to head.

10. Sky Sports Monday Night Football

This bombastic track would perfectly set the scene for a brawl, with the pumping electro finding a home as the theme for MNF.

11. The A-Team

Of course we'd have to get rid of the voice-over, but as an instrumental the A-Team's theme works quite well. The marching band drums set the tone  and the hopeful strings and the lively guitar solo halfway through make it the ideal curtain raiser for any fight.
