The final major of the year is this weekend, as the USPGA Championship takes place at Quail Hollow to a backdrop of intrigue: Jordan Spieth has the chance of completing a Grand Slam before Rory McIlroy, who himself is coming into the tournament boosted by the impetus brought by changing his caddy.

The tournament was widely expected to be broadcast live on Sky Sports - they had all four majors last year - but just a week after Sky had launched a new, dedicated golf channel, they lost the rights to Quail Hollow. They were instead hoovered by the BBC, after negotiations between Sky and the PGA of America broke down.
Fans hoping for a replica of the Beeb's coverage of the Masters are going to be disappointed, however, as such was the late notice afforded to the Beeb by the USPGA, it clashes with the broadcaster's coverage of the World Athletics Championship.
Therefore, live coverage on BBC Two has been curtailed, with just an hour of live coverage on the channel on Thursday, 70 minutes on Friday, just over an hour and a half on Saturday, while there will be just two hours and fifteen minutes live of the final day live on BBC Two.

They are compensating for this, however, by broadcasting the tournament more extensively behind the red button, on the BBC Sport website, and on the iPlayer. The Beeb's coverage will be led by Eilidh Barbour (taking over from Hazel Irvine), alongside Peter Alliss and Ken Brown.
Elsewhere, the tournament will also be broadcast on Eir Sport.
