Eoin Mulligan and his friend Francis Conmey from Athlone, Ireland went viral earlier this year when Eoin arranged it so that they could travel to Liverpool and watch Everton's Europa League qualifier against Hajduk Split.

The pair bonded over their love of Everton when Eoin began working in a Supermacs under Francis's home. Unfortunately Francis, who has Asperger’s syndrome, fell sick shortly before the game and was unable to attend the ground.

Thus the pair instigated a fundraising campaign in order to return to Goodison Park. They launched an online campaign, but a charitable Everton player stepped in and donated £1,800. Seamus Coleman made the donation and made it possible that the players attend Everton's clash with West Ham and spend some time with the players.

Eoin was extremely grateful to the Republic of Ireland captain:

Following the disappointment of our previous visit when Francis fell ill we both wanted to come back and to have received such a generous donation from one of our Seamus Coleman shows the measure of the man.

This has been an amazing journey and we can’t thank Seamus and the Club enough for helping us come over to watch the match.

The entire trip proved successful as Everton also won the game 4-0.

It's a touching story that thankfully came to a happy conclusion. He's proved it time and time again, Seamus Coleman is a class act.
