Paralympics: Irish In Action On Day Four

Day three of the Rio Paralympics saw a number of successes for the Irish team. Greta Streimikyte ran a PB to finish fourth in the T13 1500 metres final. Nicole Turner qualified for the S6 50 metres freestyle and came in seventh overall, while Orla Comerford also qualified for her final in the T13 100 metres on the track. Rena McCarron-Rooney may have bowed out of the Table Tennis SF1-2 singles, but she did so at the quarter-final stage. Sean Baldwin was 33rd in the R3 Mixed 10m Rifle.

On day four we will have a number of medal hopefuls competing.

Ellen Keane - Swimming

SM8 200 Metres Individual Medley Heats at 1.56pm. Final at 9.53pm if she qualifies.

Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal - Cycling

Individual Pursuit, B Qualifiers at 2pm. Final at 4:30pm if they qualify.

Orla Comerford - Athletics

T13 100 Metres final at 2:57pm.
