Last year we found all the Ireland jerseys we can and ranked them, and the response was excellent as well as informative as some readers submitted a few omissions that we were not aware existed, so with so many new jerseys on show in Rio last summer as well as for the other sports since then, it was time for another ranking.

You may not be able to buy them all in shops, but these are the best Ireland jerseys you'll see in action this year.

#10 - Gymnastics

Pros: Shows off the guns.
Cons: Too much blue.

Swap the baby-blue with a white or an orange and we're talking, although the only people buying it would be lads off to Thailand for the summer.

#9 - Basketball

Pros: Simple and pretty cool to be fair.
Cons: No new jersey in last year.

It is what it is. Last year this cool jersey was unveiled for the Baku games, but we didn't send a team to Rio so no New Balance jersey for Ireland basketball in 2016.

#8 - Cricket

Pros: Big improvement on last year, awesome logo.
Cons: Not much else going on.

As cricket jerseys go it is certainly isn't bad, the logo is fantastic and it's far better than the eyesore that was last year's effort.

#7 - Cycling

Pros: Great design, cyclists dream.
Cons: Discriminates against chubby folk, stupid sexy Flanders.

The Irish cyclists were well kitted out for Rio, this is a decent effort.

#6 - Handball

Pros: Very Irish despite being predominantly white.
Cons: Logo thing.

Recommended

There's few sports Ireland are as dominant in as handball, but Paul Brady is one of the sport's best ever and his jersey is pretty damn cool.

#5 - Rugby

Pros: Fantastic collar, lime green trim.
Cons: That tiny splash of red.

A great effort, and we have no problem at all with Vodafone logo, that colour spot is our only tiny gripe and even then it's still a beauty.

#4 - GAA International Rules

Pros: Different shades of green, logo.
Cons: Sponsor.

Last year the international rules jersey was our #1, and while this year's is nice, it had a lot to live up to. The Irish Daily Mail sponsor doesn't look great.

#3 - Golf

Pros: Could wear on a night out.
Cons: None.

There are a few polos being worn on the golf course in Rio but this is the best one. It's actually gorgeous.

#2 - Soccer

Pros: Vivid colours, Wesso's goal vs Sweden.
Cons: None.

A smash hit this summer in France, Umbro nailed the new jersey for Euro 2016. Not much to say other than COYBIG!

#1 - Hockey

Pros: Shoulder design, IRELAND!
Cons: None.

Despite changing the kit supplier, hockey has the best Ireland jersey for the second year in a row. It's outstanding.
