Leona Maguire + Stephanie Meadow - From 11.30am

The No. 1 amateur female golfer in the world Leona Maguire and the Jordanstown professional Stephanie Meadow get their Olympics underway in the women's golf tournament tomorrow.

Meadow famously finished 3rd in the US Women's Open in 2014, her second ever major tournament. Maguire finished in a tie for 25th in the British Open this year.

Recommended

Neither are especially fancied with Maguire being the shorter odds at 100/1.

800m

Ciara Everard - 2.55pm

26 year old Kilkenny athlete Everard goes in the first heat of the 800m tomorrow. Her year has been interrupted by injury. If she progresses from her heat tomorrow it will represent a decent effort. She finished 6th in the European indoors in Gothenburg in 2013.
