It's difficult to summarise these Olympic Games from the spectator's perspective, but RTÉ - as per usual - have done a cracking job in the montage stakes.

The curtain was pulled on Rio 2016 last night after an eventful few weeks, and the gang at Montrose capped their extremely impressive coverage of the Games with a four-minute summary which beautifully encapsulated the highs and lows of the summer.

Stars were born, hearts were broken and a lot of eyebrows were raised, and if you missed RTÉ's sign off last night, prepare to feel the full range of emotions.
