Following their 20-point victory over Ukraine in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght, Ireland take on Israel in the FIBA U18 Women's European Championships Division B quarter-final on Friday evening.
Having already notched five wins from their five group games, Tommy O’Mahony’s side eased past their Eastern European opponents on Thursday night and waltzed into their quarter-final draw.

Speaking to Basketball Ireland's official website ahead of the game, O'Mahony said that Isreal's attacking capabilities would pose a new threat.
They [Israel] are really tough. They have a lot of guards and a lot of shooters – they like to shoot the three in transition. We’ll have to work on our defence, big time.
We always talk about sharing the ball and taking the right option and when other teams are scouting us, there’s no one player who dominates the scoring.
