Our Sports Documentary Of The Week

Narrated by Sean Penn, Dogtown and Z-Boys tells the story of a group of teenagers from Los Angeles and the influence which they had on skateboarding culture.

The documentary mixes footage from the 70s with modern interviews, mainly featuring those involved with the titular 'Z-boys' (the Zephyr skateboarding team).

It's directed by Stacy Peralta - a member of the Z-boys - who also helmed the excellent surfing documentary Riding Giants.
