Happy St Patrick's Day to all Irish people everywhere. In fact, we'll go so far as to wish a happy St Patrick's Day to everyone, Irish or otherwise.

Over the past while, Irish football has been at a fairly low ebb.

We haven't won a match, nor scored a goal, in what feels like an eternity. Having been used to seeing our players tog out at the highest level for years upon years, we've now grown accustomed to our best players being rotational pieces for mid-table Premier League sides.

Now, that might all sound doom and gloom, but we wanted to give you a reminder of what we've had, and moreover, what we're capable of.

To celebrate the day where everyone is Irish, the Premier League media team have assembled a video of some of Ireland's finest moments from the near 30 years of the Premier League.

To this day, we have absolutely no idea how hard Steven Reid kicked that football.

If the net didn't stop that ball, we'd hasten that it'd still be travelling at some velocity around 15 years later.

Although we haven't had much reason to celebrate when it comes to Irish footballers in the Premier League this season, hopefully this serves as a reminder of how good we can be.
